Community Photo Challenge-Hometown[Advanced ONLY]
The theme for this week's challenge will be Hometown, suggested by Donna.
Select a photo that best represents "Hometown"
This could be something you love about where you live, either your
hometown, home state, country....anything that shows your home. It is
your interpretation of "Hometown" or "Home"
Repeat from another post....
[Marie: "Examples; NYC, the city skyline at night. or Could be a
seaside cottage, or country home..... I recently was part of a photo
challenge & was asked to suggest a theme.
This was mine "Home is where the Heart is"]
You may add something about why you chose this photo.
All entries must have a description of the photo, including when it was taken (the year) & where. Anything that would be of interest to visitors checking out your image.
AGAIN....
Keep in mind when shooting or selecting a photo for the challenge;
1. The theme of this challenge
2. Presentation
3. Composition
4. Interest
5. Quality
ALSO.....
Please TRY visit all participants in both categories & leave
comments on all those who have entered in this challenge. Don't forget
to leave your link on all comments. Ü
A reminder....Vicki & I will be posting photos, but will not be considered in the challenge when judging.
Thank you all, again, for making the first challenge a great success
& all your wonderful, encouraging comments left on this journal.
We all truly appreciate your support. Ü
If you have any suggestions, you may leave them in the comment area or E-mail one or all of us.

Would like to participate. Not sure. Do we put the photo on our journals and then come back with a link? What should we put for a heading on journal entry?

I only shoot for grins and giggles, but since I've been at it for 50+ years, I guess that makes me "advanced" in more areas than I'd like to mention. Do I get an extra point for being challenged?
Congrats to one and all in the last event. I did, BTW, view and study each entry. And I perused all the journals for several hours to get caught up. I am in the habit of reserving my comments until after the voting is over. Carry-over from the camera club, I guess. But I did want everyone to know I thoroughly enjoyed looking at your photos, even if I didn't email each person individually. There sure are a lot of interesting and talented folks in this diversified group.
Looking forward to precipitating in this week's challenge. Might have to wait til Sunday when we get our annual snowfall.
Cheers,
Clyde

When is this due? I have one photograph I really want to get and I was tied up today and couldn't do it and before that we had rain, rain, rain. ::sigh:: I don't really care if I make it in time for judging but, I'd like to play along.

I really think I should enter in the beginner catagory, but I am going to throw my hat in here and hope I don't get embarassed. My entry can be found at this link:

Hi, Marie, what is the deadine for the 'Hometown' photo challenge? I think I may try entering in the Advanced section to see how I measure up...;) Maria from http://journals.aol.com/gotomaria/TheLittleThings/

I'm not eligible to win a prize, since I'm one of the judges, but it's still fun to play. Here's my non-eligible "Hometown" image. Enjoy!
